The MyNameNecklace 2014 Oscar Picks

Our Picks for the 2014 Oscars

You probably already know that on Sunday night March 2nd, the 86th Academy Awards (aka The Oscars) will take place. The annual event features the hottest styles, funny moments, drama, and lots of surprises

People across the globe will be watching to see which designer dresses the stars are wearing, who totally rocked it on the red carpet, and obviously who won such prestigious awards like Best Picture, Best Actress, and Best Director.

You will find a recap of the best and worst dressed on our blog next week, but in the meantime here are our picks for the major awards categories:

Best Original Screenplay

This is a packed category, filled with solid candidates, but we think:
Necklace with the inscription Her
from Spike Jones will take the prize.

Best Original Song

Not a lot of competition in this category, and we think "Let it Go" from the movie
Necklace with the inscription Frozen
Frozen Name Necklace
will be the runaway winner.

Best Animated Feature

Having the best original song will definitely not hurt and "Frozen" will also reign supreme.

Best Actor in a Supporting Role

Jared Leto and Jonah Hill were great in their respective roles, but it feels like
Bradley Necklace
Bradley Necklace
Cooper will capitalize on his brilliant performance in "American Hustle"

Best Actress in a Supporting Role

We are absolutely in love with Jennifer Lawrence and her turn as Rosalyn Rosenfeld in "American Hustle", but we feel the fact that she won last year will hurt her with the voters. So we think that
Lupita Necklace
Lupita Necklace
Nyong'o will take the crown for her performance in "12 Years as a Slave".

Best Actress in a Leading Role

"American Hustle" strikes again, as we think
Amy Name Necklace
Amy Necklace
Adams will take home the prize for her portrayal as an English accented

Best Actor in a Leading Role

Although he will face a very tough fight from Matthew McConaughey and his dramatic performance as Ron Woodroof in "Dallas Buyers Club", this is the year that will finally see
Necklace featuring the name leonardo
Leonardo Necklace
DiCaprio break through and win an Oscar after being nominated three times.

Best Director

Probably the toughest category to predict, as all were great films, along with acclaimed directors like David O. Russel, and Alexander Payne. But we think
Necklace with the name Martin
Martin Necklace
Scorsese will reign again (and for a film much better than his previous win with "The Departed").

Best Picture

The most important category and the final award of the evening. With marvelous films like "Forrest Gump", "The Godfather", and "West Side Story", the winner of this category will forever be remembered in the annals of Oscar history. Although they will be disappointed with Chiwetel Ejiofor not winning the Best Actor category, they will be able to celebrate as the final winners of the night, as "12
as a Slave" will take home Best Picture.

Be sure to check back with us on Monday morning as we recap the best of Red Carpet Fashion on the My Name Necklace Blog.
