Every May in the United States, we celebrate Memorial Day. First started in 1868, this holiday commemorated the sacrifices made by fallen soldiers during the Civil War. Since World War I, Memorial Day has become a special celebration that honors all of those men and women who have fallen while serving in the American military, as well as current members and veterans. In 1971, Memorial Day became a national holiday, held on the last Monday in May.
Does Memorial Day hold special meaning to you? Numerous communities throughout the US hold special events, including parades and speeches, all honoring the military. What can you do to celebrate this special holiday? You can thank veterans you see, visit families who have lost loved ones, and participate in the National Moment of Remembrance. At 3:00 PM, take a moment of silence and reflect upon the meaning of this special day.
Right now our Memorial Day Sale is in full swing and through tomorrow you can receive up to 50% off + an additional 15% off select items!
