MyNameNecklace Tutorial: How to Wrap Christmas Gifts

With only a bit more than a month left until Christmas, by now you are starting to shop for Christmas gifts. That list isn't going to complete itself! But of course, after you buy Christmas gifts the next job is to wrap them! Of course they need to look all nice and pretty for the 5 minutes they are under the tree. You know, before that careful wrapping job you did is in pieces all over the floor and around the Christmas tree. But not everyone knows just how exactly to wrap a gift for Christmas! Don't worry! At MyNameNecklace, we are here to help you! We present to you our Christmas wrapping tutorial!

What You Will Need:
  1. Wrapping paper (you can go as festive as you like, but comics from Sunday's newspaper does just fine as well!)
  2. Scissors
  3. Tape
  4. Ribbons and other decor
  5. A smile on your face as you think about how happy the recipients will be once they open your present (this is totally not optional!)
  6. And of course, the gift you want to wrap!

Step 1: Measure and Cut your Wrapping Paper
Place the gift to be wrapped at the center of the wrapping paper. Make sure you have enough extra paper on the sides so they meet in the middle. Cut out the piece that you need!

Step 2: Make Your First Folds
Fold your first side over and secure with some tape. Then fold the second side over and secure with a piece of tape. You should have a clean edge.

Step 3: Let's Get to the Bottom of It
If you have some excess paper at the ends of your gift, you can cut a bit off, but make sure to leave a bit so you can do the necessary folds. Take the shorter sides and fold them in in, crimping the edges, and making the long side look a bit like a V. Do the same to the other side so you have two flaps. Fold one flap over the over, and secure with tape.

Step 4: Rinse and Repeat
Do the same thing with the other side of your gift.

Step 5: Put a Bow on It
Now is your chance to make it look pretty. Add bows, ribbons, and anything else you want to make your gift stand out! Oh, and don't forget the card saying it's from you!

The best part happens after, when you can watch the face of the recipient as they open the gift!
